Loyangalani es una ciudad pequeña, situada en la orilla sudeste del Lago Turkana. Esta a 608 Km de Nairobi pero las carreteras de acceso están en muy malas condiciones y el viaje toma 2 días. Es una zona marginalizada por el Gobierno keniano y la inversión pública en servicios sociales de salud y educación es mínima. El centro de Salud de Loyangalani no es funcional y la única escuela primaria existente esta en subóptimas condiciones.

Loiyangalani is a small town on the South Eastern shore of Lake Turkana. Positioned at 2 degrees north of the Equator. It is 608kms from Nairobi, with some of the worst roads ever seen in Kenya. The Government has neglected such beautiful place and her people. There are no proper schools or Dispensary in Loiyanagalani, despite being abandoned by the Government. Loiyangalani provides a breath taking view of the escarpment as well as the full view of the beautiful Teleki Crater, the Southern Island and the Jade Colored Water of Lake Turkana.
